Technical Report I

Tech I takes a look at the basic elements of the Hospital Bed Expansion Project.Components being researched are items such as the CPM Schedule, Square Foot Cost Evaluation, Site Plans, Building Systems, Local Conditions, Client Information, and Staffing Plan.

Technical Report II

For Technical Report 2, a detailed analysis was performed for the construction schedule, structural system estimate, general conditions estimate, LEED/sustainability evaluation, and Building Information Modeling uses. While detailed analyses were performed for specific parts of the Hospital Bed Expansion (HBE), major factors remain to be investigated throughout the entire project.

Technical Report III

For Technical Report 3, the UVA Project Manager participated in a telephone interview to discuss the progress of HBE and any issues that were encountered over the course of construction. Others topics that were discussed in this interview include the Constructability Challenges that the construction team were faced with, any schedule delays or possible scenarios to accelerate the project schedule, and items that were value engineered. Along with the interview, this report also includes a summary of the PACE Roundtable and possible analysis topics for research.
